Dr. Miden Melle Hannah, CEO of Multi4 Medical
Multi4 Medical, a pioneering health tech startup, has been awarded a 2.5 MEUR grant from the European Innovation Council (EIC) Accelerator under the Horizon Europe program. This funding is aimed at accelerating the market entry of their groundbreaking surgical instrument for the diagnosis and treatment of urinary bladder cancer.
The Multi4 system is a revolutionary multipurpose instrument designed to streamline and enhance the process of bladder cancer diagnostics and treatment. It integrates four key functions: applying local anesthesia, innovatively taking tissue samples, automatically transporting these samples, and cauterizing or stopping bleeding. This comprehensive approach allows for a less invasive, quicker, and more patient-friendly treatment process that can be performed in an outpatient setting without the need for general anesthesia or extensive surgical preparations. The technology is applicable in other forms of cancer and thus has the potential to revolutionize care for millions of patients worldwide.
