Cocoon Airbag Protection Receives Grant from Women TechEU, Horizon Europe – the only Swedish start-up to be awarded funding in the latest round of the program.

We are excited to announce that our client, Cocoon Airbag Protection AB, has been awarded grant funding from the Women TechEU program under Horizon Europe. This funding will accelerate the commercialization of Cocoon’s innovative child safety solution for bicycle transportation. Cocoon Airbag Protection is the first to integrate an AI-powered airbag system into a child bicycle seat, offering full-body protection in the event of an accident. This groundbreaking technology promises to significantly enhance the safety of millions of children worldwide.Women TechEU is an EU initiative that provides first-class coaching and mentoring to female founders, alongside targeted funding to help grow their businesses. Cocoon Airbag Protection was selected from among 820 applicants in the latest Women TechEU call, marking a 75% increase in applications compared to previous years. Despite the rising competition, Cocoon successfully secured funding, underscoring the strength and potential of its innovative solution.
