Tendo AB gets EUR 300k funding from Swelife and Medtech4Health
GAEU Consulting is delighted to announce that Tendo AB, our esteemed client, has been awarded a grant from “Swelife and Medtech4Health - Collaboration projects for better health autumn 2022.” The grant of SEK 3 M (EUR 300k) has been allocated for the clinical validation and development of a generic version of Tendo OneGrip, ahead of CE marking. The project will be executed in collaboration with partners in the domains of electronics development and clinical studies.
Tendo OneGrip is a revolutionary glove featuring an integrated exoskeleton that aids individuals with decreased grip ability, especially those with spinal cord injuries. The product can be intuitively controlled by the user’s own movements, requiring no pre-existing grip function. The technology holds immense potential and can be customized to cater to diverse target groups and industries. The team responsible for Tendo possesses specialized knowledge of robotic technology, particularly in assistive technology, that is expected to be of substantial value as demand for the product grows in the market.
Tomasz Wąsik, MBA, CEO GAEU Consulting Horizon Europe Centre of Excellence, comments: ”This project holds immense potential for making a positive impact on healthcare and exemplifies the application of state-of-the-art robotic technologies to meet the needs of vulnerable patient populations. We are honored to have served as advisors to the Tendo team and appreciate the trust they have placed in us to develop their grant proposal”.
Sofie Woge, CEO at Tendo comments: “We are very happy about the financial support we have been granted from Vinnova. The contribution means that we can ensure qualitative and effective work with the upcoming clinical study with Tendo OneGrip and also develop a generic version of our product that we can produce in a more cost-effective way and reach out to more international markets. We are grateful for the support we got from GAEU Consulting in writing the application”.
