In strong competition GAEU’s client Vicore Pharma Holding AB (publ) was awarded £ 1.5 million by the British charity LifeArc for a COVID-19 Phase II study with the drug candidate VP01. The study, named ATTRACT (Angiotensin II Type Two Receptor Agonist COVID-19 Trial), is targeting hospitalized patients treated with basic respiratory care, but not yet on mechanical ventilation. In close cooperation between the GAEU’s and Vicore’s team, the winning application was written in record time.
As many as 25 of the total 53 EU applications granted to Swedish companies before the SME Instrument’s Phase 1 closed for good earlier this year were written by GAEU.
GAEU’s clients became the big winners at the premiere of the newly expanded EU grant program for the most innovative SME companies – EIC Accelerator Pilot Phase 2 (formerly the SME instrument).

In this year’s second Horizon 2020 SME Instrument Phase 1 call (cut-off 3rd of May), GAEU Consulting wrote eight approved applications (excl another three so called runner up-applications).
CombiGene was granted 3,3 million euro in the latest Phase 2 round in the HorizonCombiGene was granted 3,3 million euro in the latest Phase 2 round in the Horizon2020 SME Instrument programme. GAEU Consulting wrote the EU application andguided the research company through the application procedure.
In the latest call for the phase 2 of the SME Instrument GAEU Consulting wrote two of four approved applications for Swedish innovation companies. GAEU´s customers received a total of 4 million euro.
