Highlights 2022
As the year 2022 is slowly coming to an end, we stop to look back at our achievements in 2022. It has been a busy year for our team! We have been fighting for grants on several fronts, very often to cut-offs and deadlines that fall on the same date, within a broad variety of funding mechanisms: Horizon Europe, EIC Accelerator, Eurostars, Vinnova, EIT Health, Energimyndigheten, you name it! And with what results! We have broken new grounds and set new funding records for our company. Those records will be hard to beat but we will try! We have a fantastic team, full of committed, super-skilled and passionate people that take our quality promise to our Clients very seriously. This is reflected in the results we deliver.

6.45 MEUR for GAEU Consulting’s Clients in the final 2022 cut-off of EIC Accelerator, Horizon Europe
In the last cut-off for 2022, two GAEU Consulting clients have made it to the winners list: EmbeDL - a spin-off from the Horizon 2020 funded research project LEGaTO. The mission of EmbeDL is to commercialise its Deep Learning optimisation engine into a highly scalable service that makes DL-based AI affordable and energy efficient in embedded systems. Cyto356 - a medical-device start-up developing RondelO™ - a globally unique medical stopcock that prevents mixing of drugs. RondelO™ combats drug incompatibility by design, and it is the only physical device that adds an extra layer of safety for the nurse to do right.

The largest grant of 5 MEUR for a single beneficiary project in GAEU's history awarded to our Client - SeaTwirl
GAEU Consulting supported SeaTwirl in developing the grant proposal to the Swedish Energy Agency. SeaTwirl receives 50.4 MSEK (approx. 5 MEUR) in grant funding within the program “Larger pilot and demonstration projects for energy and climate change transition”. The grant will allow SeaTwirl to install its 1 MW S2x turbine in Norway for demonstration and testing purposes.
